Christmas Break

Aldersgate Playschool will be closing on December 20 and will re-open on January 3.

Have a safe and wonderful Holiday!  We will see you on January 3.

Upcoming Events

Starting in the New Year, we will have monthly Spirit Nights where we will go to a restaurant to eat and the Playschool will earn 10% of the sales.

We are going to publish a Spring Recipe Book.  We will need your favorite family recipes.  The kids will also be giving their teachers recipes in their classes.

We will have a great pottery project in April that will make a great Mother's Day gift!

We will also have a Yard Sale in May, so start cleaning out items that you would like to donate.  We do have a place to store the items, so you can drop them off.  We are accepting any items, however, children's clothing we will take up to a size 10.

Fall Pictures

Here is a copy of the order form for the Fall Pictures taken by Crosby Images.
You will receive an envelope with proofs to review during the week of October 17th.  Please return your order by October 25th to guarantee delivery before Christmas.  If your order is received after this date, every effort will be made to get it completed, but there is no guarantee that you will get your order by Christmas.

Scholastic Orders

There are two ways to place your Scholastic Book Order.  You can complete the order forms sent home with your child, then return them to the teacher or use the Scholastic website to place your order.  You will need to set up an account (register your child) to place your order online.  Once you have created an account and signed in, you will go to Book Clubs where you should be offered a choice to enter an activation code (GRQB4) or Find My Teacher (North Carolina, Shelby, Aldersgate Playschool, Terrie Toms), which is an awesome new feature!  This information will be saved, so the next time you want to order books, you select the child you want to order for and place your order.

Pennies for Pizza

In case you haven't noticed the beautifully decorated buckets outside the classroom doors, you are missing out on some great art!

We are having a Pennies for Pizza fundraiser and the class with the most "pennies" wins a pizza party!!!  Be sure to drop your loose and or "light" change into the bucket.

This has been a fun event in the past, some parents and grandparents have even placed dollars to ensure a win for their classroom!
